Prior to first appointment

Prior to your first appointment, you will be requested to complete a consultation form in order to plan the best possible treatment for you.

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage Therapy teaches us that movements of the human body are interconnected.  We start by looking at the overall picture of your body alignment, how it moves and how one issue can lead to other pains and niggles arising elsewhere over time.

All sessions include a postural and active movement analysis, followed by a tailored treatment using a combination of basic and advanced techniques such as:

-          Deep tissue massage

-          Neuromuscular technique

-          Fascial stretch techniques

-          Joint mobilisation

-          Myofascial Release

You will also receive bespoke take home self-care advice, such as stretches and exercises, to contribute to the rehabilitation of the dysfunctional or injured areas and to help prevent issues from re-occurring.

Remedial Massage is also beneficial for chronic conditions, as well as recent issues you may want to address.

Sports Massage

A range of sports massage techniques and stretching are used to assist an athlete’s performance and recovery from an activity. The techniques used will be based on when the massage is being received in relation to the timing of the event/competition: pre, inter or post-event.

Sports massage can also be used to maintain the quality of soft tissues, and range of motion in between events and/or training sessions. It can be effective in targeting broad or specific areas that may be prone to tightness or injury.
