Frequently asked questions.
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
Please ensure you have completed and returned the consultation form prior to your first treatment.
Please bring/wear shorts, and for female clients a vest top (preferably) or t-shirt, to enable you to get the most out of the initial postural assessment and treatment.
What if I’m pregnant?
As long as you are past your first trimester and your midwife has given you the go-ahead. RSM can be very beneficial.
What if I have a recent injury?
Depending on the nature of the injury and following advice from your doctor, RSM can facilitate healing. This would be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
What if you don’t think you can help?
I will advise you of which healthcare professional I think would be best for you to visit. I also write referral letters for you when required.
How many treatments will I need?
This will vary hugely, depending on your reason for treatment, lifestyle and how long you have had the complaint. We will discuss this during your consultation.
What if I have a chronic pathology?
RSM may not be able to cure an existing pathology but it may be able to reduce pain levels and symptoms, enabling you to ‘manage your condition’ with regular treatments and aftercare advice.
